Be my Guest (EN/NL/CN) is a situational performance/ritual that across the boundary between mythical time and the present. In response to the theme of Non Native Native Fair PRO$PERITY NOW!, I challenge myself to explore the intricate relationship between magic and monetary value, where non-Western spirituality and materiality intersect, and socio-political issues emerge, by hosting traditional Chinese tea ceremonies.
The pre-designed one-to-one traditional Chinese tea ceremonies become one-to-two or one-to-three sessions during NNNFair. For each session, three types of flower tea are prepared to choose from. Participants reserve their spots via https://yingyi.art/agenda/be-my-guest, and take on approximately. 30min. Sitting tea journey with me at Framer Framed Amsterdam.
