Yet, at Mediamatic, we choose to celebrate and openly discuss this natural process, transforming historical shame into a source of healing and empowerment.

What you will do

We will work with our living stories, and explore our healing sensibilities. By going on a ritualistic journey, we will begin with a Botanical Walk to discover the healing plants under the shelter of Mediamatic. After a proper warming up, and rightful refreshment with healing flower tea, we will get wild with our hands and discover Botanical Art. It’s the time to create your mental journey of menstruation with sanitary pads, tampons, and (dried) healing plants. This isn't just about learning embroidery; it's about reclaiming a narrative, fostering a deeper connection to our bodies, and transforming the perception of menstruation into a sensory healing celebration. We will also have cotton thread and needles on site to give your creations an extra touch. To complete this celebration, we will engage in Botanical Talk.
