Travel Tea Table, a tailor-made art installation specially for interactive and intimate tea rituals, crafted from a roughly century-old Maple tree from Oudegracht Utrecht. The low tea table, enriched with local botanical highlights and a 360-degree rotating panel, invites play, mindfulness, and connection.

"Feeling blissful to work on my Travel Tea Table at the heart of Utrecht, and witness how it is reborn from the historical Maple Tree at the Oudegracht.

The rawness of the wood, the earthy smell of the wood and the tung oil, the mixed background working ambience with classical music from Jules's radio, the birds, the sunny flowers, the passing boats and the random talk with passengers and neighbours living closeby, I will miss every inch of it.

It was an amazing art residency, where I had the space and time to learn new craft and merge it into my botanical art practice. Where I learn that the sickness of a tree can turn into a poetic drawing and opening."

Travel Tea Table is made possible by the great technical support of Artist & Sculptor Jules Enneking, the donation of the maple tree from Sybrand Hoekstra, and the financial support of Het Cultuurfonds, Gemeente Amersfoort, and Voordekunst.
